Comments/Description:  Announcement poster for "Mural Inauguration / Las Lechugueras / por / Juana Alicia / The community is invited to celebrate on / Sunday, June 24th from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. / en frente del mural, at York and 24th Sts. / There will be antojitos Mexicanos / y musica por / Batachanga."  Image by Juana Alicia with three female figures.  The woman in the center is looking down. Behind her, there is another woman wearing a hat and a veil covering her face from her nose down.  On the other side there is an  outline of a woman's face bigger than the other figures.  The three women have similar features.  The lettering is hot fluorescent pink in a brown background.

Comments/Description:  Announcement poster for "Orquesta Positiva, Funds go to bring art supplies to Nicaragua. . . .
Endorsers: Casa de Cultura Nicaraguense, Peoples Theatre Coalition, Casa Macondo, La Raza Graphics."  Image of a large group of people dancing and having a good time in what seems to be a farm.  Different animals--cows, ducks, rabbits, etc. are standing in between the dancers.  In the back, a group of musicians play the trumpet, the piano, the bass and the 'maracas' in a lavender background.

Comments/Description:  Image of the explosion of the atomic bomb blending with the image of Jimmy Carter.  Two or three persons are dead, laying on the ground.  The image is composed of dots of several sizes--like an enlarged reproduction from a newspaper.  Red lettering reads: "Alles Gute Fur Die Zukunft Mit Der Humanen Bombe."  ("All is well for the future with the human bomb") The print has several creases horizontally and vertically.  From the GDLR collection of Australian posters.

Comments/Description:  Announcement poster for "Boycott Coors / Coors workers are on strike!.. / which side / are you on?. . . Don't buy Coors!"  A man that seems to be "the employer" is pulling the employees' hands and is about to connect the "lie-detector" machine to the power switch.  The employees are connected to the "lie-detector" through spiral cords.  The "lie-detector" machine has the following inscription: "Lie-detector test / must be taken by / all my employees!!.. / signed: Joe Coors."  The print has traces of non acid-free tape in the four corners and a big hole in the upper center of the print.

Comments/Description:  Calendar for 1984.  The unknown artist uses La Calavera de Don Quijote by José Guadalupe Posada.  There are two versions of this print.  The background for one image is red-orange to orange to yellow gradation and the other has a red to purple to blue gradation.  The red text below the image includes the dates and the months and the year.  Retrieved 8/94.

Comments/Description:  Announcement poster for "Celebremos la Victoria de Nicaragua, 1 Anniversary of the 'Sandinista' Triumph."  There are two portraits in black and white, one of A.C. Sandino and the other of Carlos Fonseca.  Underneath it, on a red background, a group of representatives from the working class is emerging from an open book and holding books themselves. In the bottom area of the image, there is a listing of several events in white ink on a blue background.
