Los Gallos Rosto Dance
In the spirit of being “Big Brothers,” Los Gallos sponsored younger jacket clubs in the Logan Heights area, such as Los Pollos and the Neighbor Knights. The third club, Los Chicanos, was the first to use the term “Chicano” to identify as a segment of society that was becoming conscious of itself. The word “Chicano” was instrumental in the birth of the 1960s Chicano Movement and was used to designate its struggle for human and civil rights.
